WALK TO SCHOOL DAY IS CANCELLED FOR TOMORROW, MAY 5th.
Students in grades 5 and 6 have begun work on their spring fitness assessments. Areas assessed are muscular strength and endurance (push-ups and partial curl-ups); cardiorespiratory endurance (PACER run); and flexibility (sit & reach and trunk lift).
We have been working hard on our physical fitness in preparation for our spring testing. Each class we spent about 7-10 minutes working on cardiorespiratory endurance activities such as tag games, strength building activities in which we focus on upper body and abdominal activities, and flexibility activities.
