I grew up in a small Northern Maine town called Eagle Lake. While we were not near the ocean, I did live on a small lake. I moved to Vermont after marrying my husband, who grew up in Windsor. We have one daughter, named Lily, who will be 6 in October.
I have been teaching in the Windham Northeast Supervisory Union for nine years. I taught fifth grade at Cherry Hill for two years and this is my seventh year of teaching at the Middle School. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Policy from Unity College in 1995. I later went on to earn my teaching certificate from Vermont College in 2001. I carry a VT teaching license in Elementary Education and have been certified as a Highly Qualified Teacher by the State of Vermont Department of Education. Finally, I earned my Master's Degree through the Vermont Math Initiative at the University of Vermont in May of 2011.
